In today’s highly politicised climate, personal and professional development is more important than ever. Professionals are often placed under great pressure to show dramatic and often superficial results in unrealistic timeframes, while working with a client group who are caught up in an accelerating cycle of disadvantage.
I.D. believes that in order for social care and criminal justice professionals to work safely and effectively, they urgently require support in understanding and managing their internal responses to the provocation and abuse they experience in the field. I.D. processes for professionals provide an innovative space in which to explore this aspect of their work, very often raising participant’s self-esteem and increasing motivation. I.D. has been highly successful in equipping professionals with the tools they need to be effective and assertive in an increasingly challenging workplace.
