Chief Officer's and Directors

Viv Ahmun – Chief Officer
As In-volve’s Chief Officer, Viv oversees the Consultancy and service delivery arms of the organisation. He has over 20 years of experience of working with young people, substance misuse, and advocating on behalf of Black and minority ethnic communities. In the late 1980’s he pioneered the development of treatment programmes for Crack users, working extensively in Liverpool, London and Manchester.

Throughout his career, Viv has championed the needs of people from marginalised communities, and in 1998 established the Federation of Black and Asian Drug & Alcohol workers, (now known simply as the Federation) a national body that champions diversity and equality issues within the drugs, health and social care sectors.


Colin Cripps – Deputy Chief Officer
Colin has been an outspoken champion of young people’s services from 1987 to the present day. He is regarded nationally as an expert in service provision for young people and has been a frequent speaker at conferences and in the media.

Colin designed the first accredited access to drugs work course in the UK – ‘The Complete Drugs Course’ accredited by the Open College Network – in 1993 and has lectured on drugs issues at North London University and the Tavistock Institute. He has trained social workers, probation officers, doctors, nurses and many other professional groups.


David Bagott – Director of Operations
Before joining In-volve in 2004, David's professional career included Clinical Co-ordinator and Service Development Advisor, (I grade) for the Addiction Resource Agency for Commissioners (ARAC), part of St George’s Hospital Medical School.

Prior to this his roles have included: Drug Action Team Co-ordinator; Service Manager for Addictions Directorate; Manager of Kingston Community Drug and Alcohol Team, and Manager of Drug Dependency Centre (DDC) in St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, part of North West London’s Mental Health NHS Trust.
