Merton YAP
Merton Youth Awareness Programme takes the basic YAP model, but does it with style!
We provide:
School Based Counselling
Reaching out to young people in Merton’s schools and college. Providing an opportunity to seek confidential counselling, comprehensive information and advice around substance use or any other issues that may be having an affect on their lives.
Community Based Counselling
Free and confidential service for young people up to 25 years of age that are either living, working, or studying in the borough of Merton.
Smoking Cessation
We provide a smoking cessation support group for pupils 11 to 17 years of age.
Saturday Drop In
Based at the local INSIGHT office on London Road, each and every Saturday from 1pm-4pm a DJ workshop is available.
Outreach
Our outreach teams are spread throughout the borough, offering young people the opportunity to address drug and sexual health issues in their own environment.
Drugs Training
The Complete Drugs Course is an accredited 12 weeks training course for any one who is interested in working within the drugs field or with young people. Attitude and personal qualities are more important than qualifications.
Education Workshops
Providing realistic drugs education and support to young people in High Schools and Colleges in Merton.
