Young Women Now
“Girls get better grades at school than boys, and in most developed countries more women than men go to university. Women will thus be better equipped for the new jobs of the 21st century, in which brains count a lot more than brawn.”
Economist, April 12th 2006
The role of Women and men have changed immensely in the work place. Will this change be reflected in society positively? Hope so? Not good enough. Young women need to be at the forefront of changing society’s perceptions of them and they need to recognise themselves rightfully as futureleaders of society and the world.
Women naturally have the soft skills that employers now demand - nurturing, communication, supportive, coaching and counselling skills. Yet some aspects of society continue to exploit and use women.
Got something to say about it?
Come and join In-volve at a unique event focusing on women and workforce development. Here you will have an opportunity to find ways to challenge the status quo and find out how to navigate yourself into jobs and careers initially dominated by men. The change is here and now with you, and just as James Brown said in his song “It’s a man’s world and it don’t mean nothing without a woman or a girl!”
