Redefining Sanity - Mental Health Conference
This national conference is aimed at those who want to play an effective systemic role in developing services better able to meet the needs of young people suffering psychological and emotional distress, and at risk of becoming involved in violent crime. The disturbing and disproportionate number of young black men with mental health issues currently being held in Youth Offender Institutions leaves us in no doubt that this is primarily a social care and not a health issue. Figures show that as many as 80% of  young people coming into contact with the criminal justice system suffer psychological and emotional distress, much of which is either misdiagnosed and/or unaddressed.  Read More

Giving Up the Weed
In-volve recently agreed to take part in a Channel 4 documentary that was screened as part of its Addiction week. The programme  broadcast on Channel 4 features the actor and rapper J Rock of Big Bruvvas fame who has been smoking weed for 14 years and is desperate to give up. The one-hour observational documentary called GIVING UP THE WEED charts J Rock's struggle to give up one of the constants in his life and witnesses how he copes. Read More

Small Grants for Faith Groups
As a follow on to the Drugs in London seminars for Faith communities, In-volve, with the support of the Greater London Alcohol and Drug Alliance (GLADA) is  offering one-off small grants to faith groups working to address drug and alcohol issues.  Read More
