On November 30th 2007, I had my first day at Quite Storm agency after
being referred from the 'Am I digital' project by film director Richard
Jobson who asked me to see a lady called Kate who was a producer at the
agency. I arrived at their offices in London's west end in time for my
interview, when I arrived they already have things for me to do, lucky
me!
I was asked to arrange the details and images for a 'story
board' for an American advertisement. I completed it with the help from
a girl called Donna, while i was there i met the stylist, editor Steve
and even the CEO Trevor who with Kate showed me around the building and
introduced me to everyone working there writers, producers, actors and
photographers.
This was my first day and I never expected this
kind of treatment, but I was treated nicely and I really enjoyed
working with them as they explained everything in detail and made sure
I understood before moving forward with the subject. However there was
a lot of moving about that day and sitting on computers and it was a
very long day getting the advert ready but it was worth it as I learnt
so many things I never knew before. I also think they liked working
with me as when I'd finished my work they told me the next day a car
would pick me up from my home and take me to the film studios and see
the advertisement being filmed for the Americans it was a great feeling
to know I had been taken on board in this way and been working
alongside professionals who know so much more about the media than I
do. Hopefully they'll ask me back!
