THE COLLECTIVE

The sunny September day started off at 2pm with music, film and radio workshops run by Rising Tides, SoundAdvice and 1Xtra all a BIG hit. Whilst the workshops were running, Bliss and LIVE magazine were interviewing some of the young men to feature in their next issues - so keep an eye out!
Bob Morris, the man in charge of RAW Music UK, was also on the scene collecting demo's and giving advice and info on how to get involved in the music industry.
RAW Music UK started the days entertainment start at 4.30pm when N.A.S.T.Y's K.A.S.T blessed the mic with his skills and performed his hit song 'Where's Daddy Gone'. The Collective - one of Akon's recent opening acts -did an outstanding acappella version of 'London City', look out for the video coming soon! Look out for K.A.S.T,The Collective and more RAW Music UK acts on the 26th October at the much anticipated Ludacris concert.
Stratford Top Boy Top Kat also gave us a sample of what's on his new mix tape 'No Time 2 Sleep' and performed the loving song dedicated to his two boys called 'Baby Boy'. The day ended with a 30 minute open mic session with the one and only Cameo on the decks and the like of Klayze Flames and Faith Shows rapping on the mic.
All in all the day was a HUGE success!!!
A BIG shout out to RWD, RAW Music UK, 1Xtra, The Blue Hut and everyone who helped make the day possible - THANK YOU!
And most IMPORTANTLY thank you to all the young fathers that came down, we hope you had a great day and enjoyed yourselves and we look forward to working with you all again.
