A holistic- circle of life- approach gives us our unique ability to do
family work and reach out to engage the local community and society at large.
Our In-volve logo depicts the "circle of trust". We believe that the acid test for any of our services is
whether we would feel comfortable sending a family member or close friend
there. The fact that many of our service users not only recommend our services,
but often decide come back as volunteers is a testament to the way we work.
We recognise that adults have different issues to young people and
require a difference of approach, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to
learn new things, explore their identity, take the challenge to make big
changes; and even have some fun too. As a result, our services for adults
address the needs of the whole person and not just their substance use.
Our aim is to get people in treatment, hold them there long enough for
it to have a positive effect, and help support them to fully reintegrate back
into mainstream society.
In reality we know this process may need to be repeated a few times
before it ‘sticks’, but we also understand how hard it can be to give up any
habit-
whether it’s caffeine and chocolate, or cocaine and heroin. So we avoid being judgemental. Instead,
we get alongside people and support
and encourage them on their treatment
journey. We believe it’s a honour to be part of this process: that the people we
work with let us into their most intimate circle of trust.
