Inclusion - Inspiration - Independence
In-Volve,
which for over 20 years has been transforming the lives of people
caught up in substance misuse, is recruiting additional Trustees.
Background
In-volve
began in East London as a drugs education and advice project with two
employees in 1987, and now works across England with many people other
agencies find hard to help; starting with safety, inclusion and care,
and giving them the confidence to learn and grow away from activities
that harm themselves or others. In-volve is primarily interested in the
development of innovative and high quality services that meet the needs
of socially excluded people, particularly young people. We have
specialist skills in education and treatment for people of all ages who
use substances, and young people getting caught up in offending and
violence. A special feature is In-volve's commitment to social
inclusion irrespective of race, age, economic status, religion, sexual
orientation, gender or disability that has enriched our workforce
through development opportunities for service users and practitioners.
In-volve
provides much more than drugs prevention and treatment services, even
if they remain core to our business. We are a creative organisation
full of diversity, fresh ideas and talents. We are a social and health
charity first, and a public service provider second, as we work to make
a difference in our communities and be the change we want to see.
We
want to offer our support and expertise to any people and communities
who can benefit from understanding the roots of harmful behaviours, and
enable them to make positive changes in their own lives.
Why we want you
In-Volve
is looking for Trustees who are committed to its founding ethos, and
who want to make a real difference to the lives and health of people

deprivation and exclusion.
